Penciled note from previous owner in margin. Near fine. Unlisted in Dillistin, and not present in any numismatic library sale of which we are aware. The ANS Library has an earlier edition printed in New York in 1849, but not the present edition. The 1849 first edition of Henry C. Foote's Universal Counterfeit Detector (see Signature Sale), has the copyright page under Gillet's name. Extremely rare."
