    Correspondence between John J. Ford, Jr., and Eric P. Newman primarily related to the Professional Numismatists Guild's USAOG investigation in the 1960s. An extraordinary file revealing insights into the personalities involved. Ford writes Newman on June 19, 1967, "If our disagreement should persist and be made public the damage to both the hobby and the business would be incalculable." Newman responds on June 22, "Your fear... is a philosophical matter and not related to the fact that a decision in the pending dispute is to be made on the merits."
