- Copy of Walter Breen's report on 18th century Mexican gold ingots, accompanied by cover letter from Craig N. Smith to Newman. Breen's letter to Stanley Apfelbaum of 4/9/1981 reporting status on his investigation, is also included. This letter contains Breen's famous observation that he was "scared shitless" of what John J. Ford might do when confronted with questions of authenticity.
