Correspondence, research notes, and drafts related to Eric P. Newman's 1955 article "First Documentary Evidence on the American Colonial Pewter 1/24 Real" published in The Numismatist in July 1955. Correspondence ranges from 1954 to 1957 and correspondents include Leonard Forrer, John J. Ford, Elston Bradfield, Richard Kenney, London Mint, British Museum, and others. Included in the file but not scanned are a clip from R. W. Julian ("English tin coinage did not succeed in the colonies" published 10/24/1995 in the Numismatic News), several article drafts, article offprints, and a 1956 ANA convention program noting Newman's Heath Literary Award for this article.
