Photostat Copies of the 1870-S $3 and 1822 $5, from the library of Eric P. Newman. The origin of these plates is unknown, possibly ex. Burdette G. Johnson. The Brand estate, portions of which Johnson handled, did contain an 1822 $5, while the (unique) 1870-S $3 was in the Newcomer collection.
