- Continental Currency November 2, 1776 $4 Fr. CC-49. PCGS Choice New 63. This is a pleasing Ben Levy signed note that is very well embossed, a fresh and natural example. The margin is a bit close at the left. Traditionally, Ben Levy has been collected as a Jewish signer, and his red signature is strongly accomplished on this example. This is high grade as a type note, with PCGS grading just one note at Gem New 65. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society. From Newman VI (Heritage Auctions, 4/2015, lot 19577), realized $1,645.00. Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions.

- Continental Currency November 2, 1776 $2 Fr. CC-47. PCGS Gem New 65PPQ. This is another truly striking example, and a perfect candidate for a high quality type set. The margins are complete and boldly printed. The top left edge is wider and even shows a tiny portion of the note that was above on the sheet. The nature print back printing is very detailed. It is difficult to find a Continental note with fresh originality like this, unless it comes from a distinguished collection like Eric P. Newman's. This is the finest graded at PCGS, with no other New notes certified. At PMG there is one 65 EPQ note to report. This stunner will start or further a significant Continental currency collection. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society. From Newman VI (Heritage Auctions, 4/2015), lot 19576), realized $5,170.00. Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions.
