- Georgia 1776 Light Blue Seal $4 Liberty Cap Fr. GA-75a. PCGS Very Fine 35. A very crisp and handsome note overall. This is the proper denomination in the series for the Liberty Cap seal, which is beautifully detailed on the paper in rich blue. This is border (b) with an odd ornament in the right end. There is very subtle tone, otherwise the paper is fresh and original. A great companion for the $2 Liberty Cap error type in this sale. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society Realized $910.63. Newman VII (Heritage Auctions, 10/2015), lot 18038. Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions.

- Georgia 1776 Light Blue Seal $1 Justice Fr. GA-71a. PCGS Very Fine 35PPQ. A beautiful series of color seal notes and a choice $1 Justice type. This is border (a) of the two styles used. Very boldly printed with sharp black and red texts. The color seal is sharply defined, well embossed to the blank back, and vibrant. The margins are virtually complete, and the majority should be classified as broad. A lovely example on all accounts. The Newman VI sale in April saw spirited bidding for similar color seal notes boasting quality and pedigree. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society Realized $1645.00. Newman VII (Heritage Auctions, 10/2015), lot 18036. Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions.

- Georgia 1776 Sterling Denominations 10 Shillings Fr. GA-67 (W). PCGS Very Fine 30 Apparent. This Sterling denomination type is reminiscent of the late 1760s certificates that used black and red mixed typeset. This is border variety (w) as specified by PCGS on the holder (two crossbars style at bottom). The color is rich, and the note is superior to most that we have seen. Noted are "Edge Splits, Tears and Minor Damage; Repairs." This is very collectible, with undamaged or "PPQ" nearly impossible to obtain. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society Realized $434.75. Newman VII (Heritage Auctions, 10/2015), lot 18035. Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions.

- Georgia 1776 Sterling Denominations 2 Shillings 6 Pence Horse Large Format Fr. GA-65b. PCGS Extremely Fine 45. The larger format style shows the Sterling denomination printed on each end. The horse vignette used on the note is a handsome rendering of Colonial era folk art. This is a bold example and one of the finer we have seen or catalogued. The borders are a trifle tight, but the superior paper and lack of repairs so often seen make this note a visual delight. Certainly among the finest known. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society Realized $2232.50. Newman VII (Heritage Auctions, 10/2015), lot 18034. Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions.

- Georgia 1776 Sterling Denominations 1 Shilling 6 Pence Fr. GA-64. PCGS Extremely Fine 45PPQ. A sharply defined and beautiful type note. This series of 1776 notes uses border variant styles as defined in Eric's book. This note is border (n). There are two signatures; it has a full indent design at the left with a broad sheet edge at the right. This note has vibrant clarity and excellent embossing. A premium example indeed, and demand for the choice quality Georgia Colonial in the last Newman VI indicates a note worthy of strong bidding attention. Ex: Eric P.
