- 1769 "Rubber Lady" Pair, Variety 3a-69A. These two examples are from the same die pair that is part of the "Rubber Lady" family, so-named for the elastic appearance of Britannia's arms and legs. Both examples are pleasing VF pieces with attractive brown surfaces. A depression at the center of the obverse on one example is also seen on the plate coin in Contemporary Counterfeit Halfpenny & Farthing Families. Both of the present pieces are equal to or finer than the plate coin in that reference, which is the finest the authors could locate. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society. Heritage Auctions 11/2018 (Newman XI), lot15531 (realized $7800). Heritage link: http://www.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=1283&lotIdNo=12023

- Small Offering of British Counterfeit Halfpence. This lot includes a lightly corroded 1739 example that is apparently part of the "Headless Rat" family; two pieces dated 1741 from different obverse dies; a 1755 Irish-British mule with the young George III bust of Irish halfpence, and a Britannia reverse that seems to be dated 1755, although only the tops of three digits are visible; a 1772-dated piece that appears to be a member of the "Inidian Head" family but from an unrecorded reverse die; and an example dated 1775 of an unknown type. These six pieces grade Good to VG with attractive surfaces. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society. Heritage Auctions 11/2018 (Newman XI), lot15529 (realized $1800).
