A wooden flip-top English money changer, with five glass tubes, brass fittings and sorting tray, and wooden drawer with a brass pull for paper money. The drawer holds several spare parts, wrapped in paper, and a 1944 half crown. Approximately 12 x 11 x 7 � inches. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society. - Loftus Double-Sided Pub Till. The central mechanism is operational with a working bell in the bottom. A plaque screwed to the front door reads: INVENTOR & MANUFACTURER / LOFTUS. / 321. OXFORD ST LONDON. W. On either side are two sets of change shelves, and at the base of each is a recessed bowl for small change. A removable third bowl is in front of the central mechanism door, and below is a locking drawer into which coins are deposited. In very good condition, with moderate wear to the wood finish and some light scratches on the glass panels. The drawer is chipped at the back and weakened on one corner. Includes two keys for the drawer lock and one for the mechanism door lock; both locks function without difficulty. Measures approximately 25.25 x 9 x 17.5 inches. Ex: Eric P.
