- 19th century American Riverboat Coin Changer. Very Good. A 19th century coin changer, with three stacks for holding coins and three levers for releasing the desired denominations. These were often used on riverboats, hence the name. This has a black cast iron body with nickel or white metal coin stacks. This measures approximately 5 x 5 x 10.3 inches. Ex: Eric P. - Circa 1920s St. Louis Cash Register. Good. This 1920s-era St. Louis Cash Register Company machine features all-metal construction on a wood base with a wood drawer. The mechanism is mostly working on this machine that is a prime candidate for careful restoration. The lever across the front allows selections in five-cent increments, with a lever above right selecting 1 to 4 cents, and a similar lever above left for selection from 1 to 5 dollars. The dollar lever has slipped below the machine's covering. This register has a maroon finish that shows considerable wear. Dimensions of the wood base: 12.5 x 16 x 0.75 inches.
