- Large Group of Modern Bronze Medals. This lot includes 17 bronze proofs (39 mm) in a plastic display frame titled "Great Olympic Moments." Also included are 36 bronze medals marking 15 different subjects. Many of these are recent Treasury-issued pieces. Two gilt medals in bezels honor George Washington with the Peace medal reverse, and John F. Kennedy. A yellow-bronze 20th century restrike of the Oath to the Mint medal is also included. An additional group of 27 circa 1970s bronze and pewter medals pertain to various historical topics. Nine of the pewter medals are in cases titled "America's First Medals." Ex: Eric P.
