- Radnor, PA - I [Julius Wildfire] Promise to Pay at my Store 10 Mile Gate Lancaster Turnpike Uncut Sheet of 6-1/4 Cents-12-1/2 Cents-25 Cents-50 Cents 181_ Hoober 332-1-2-3-4. Remainder. PCGS Choice About New 58PPQ. This small-size sheet has an unusual style from a very rare printer, H. Anderson. The name of the issuer is in the Hoober listing. Technically, because this is an unissued sheet, it is best to classify it by the store location clearly engraved on the notes. We have never seen an issued note from this series. Each note shares the common top center vignette of an eagle. The right end panels, typical to the period style, have written denominations. The left end panels show banners with the number of notes needed to equal a dollar. In excellent condition and with minimal handling. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society, Heritage Auctions Internet Sale (5/2016). (Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions, ha.com.) Realized $1292.50

- New-Baltimore, OH - Private Issuer "at my Store" Uncut Sheet 1 Cent-2 Cents-3 Cents-6 Cents/9 Cents-12-1/2 Cents-25 Cents-50 Cents February 7, 1815 Wolka 1824. Remainder. PCGS Choice About New 58. This is a great discovery from the Newman Collection uncut sheets as the issuer is very rare and several of the denominations are not known to Wolka (issuer 1824). The 1, 2, 3, 6, and 9 cents notes are unlisted. The first seven notes use an ornamental border to enclose the typeset obligations. The text of the 50 cents is on the face of what appears to be a tomb or monument, with two flowering vines passing through holes near the top. Though information about the issuer is mysterious, this is a highlight due to its charming style and great rarity. A most distinctive presentation. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society, Heritage Auctions Internet Sale (5/2016). (Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions, ha.com.) Realized $1997.50
