- Council Bluffs, IA- Banking House of Baldwin & Dodge Uncut Sheet of $1-$1-$1-$1 185_ Oakes 26-1 (4). Remainder, PCGS About New 53. This is the only Iowa uncut remainder item ever encountered: and only occasionally. This lithographed $1 note type was actually printed in eight subject sheets, making this technically a four-subject pane. The light orange tint outlines a white protector ONE. A train vignette is at the top, a Native American princess is at the left, and Justice is at the right. Vibrant color and wide margins. Ex: Eric P. - La Porte, IN- La Porte & Plymouth Plank Road Company Uncut Sheet of $1-$1-$2-$5 June 3, 1857 WVS 386-1-1-3-5. PCGS Superb Gem New 67PPQ. A consummate example of this extremely colorful and beautifully vignetted uncut sheet. A group of these sheets appeared many years ago, but were readily absorbed by the collecting community. Most of the sheets were cut up into as single notes. Not many sheets still exist, and this Superb Gem Newman Collection example has been unavailable for decades. The artistic Danforth, Wright & Co., features are numerous on this beautiful sheet. There is a full light pink lace tint throughout with outlined white protectors. The lovely suite of vignettes feature scenes from rural life. The $1 and $2 notes show different views of shepherding, with the animals being led away from and back to the farm; cattle are depicted on the $5. Fully signed and issued, with blue perpendicular stampings. Seldom encountered in this form now and worthy of flirting with or exceeding a four-figure realization in this stellar condition. - La Porte, IN- La Porte & Plymouth Plank Road Company Uncut Sheet of $1-$1-$2-$5 June 3, 1857 WVS 386-1-1-3-5. PCGS Superb Gem New 67PPQ. A consummate example of this extremely colorful and beautifully vignetted uncut sheet. A group of these sheets appeared many years ago, but were readily absorbed by the collecting community. Most of the sheets were cut up into as single notes. Not many sheets still exist, and this Superb Gem Newman Collection example has been unavailable for decades. The artistic Danforth, Wright & Co., features are numerous on this beautiful sheet. There is a full light pink lace tint throughout with outlined white protectors. The lovely suite of vignettes feature scenes from rural life. - Dixon, IL - Dixon Hotel Co. Uncut Sheet of $2-$3-$5-$5 18__. Remainder. PCGS Choice About New 55. A very distinctive layout with vignettes by Durand & Company. The $2 note shows a Native American hunter, the $3 note has allegorical vignettes along with the dominant vignette of three Spanish Colonial 8 Reales reverses, and the $5 notes display seated Agriculture. We have handled only one of these sheets, and it had severe condition faults. This has full margins on all sides and is vibrant. The handling is light and seen mainly from the back. The overall layout of the note quartet is extraordinary. The $1 note displays a majestic eagle; the $2 has a dog with safe; the $3 shows a sailing ship in circle; and the $5 has a wide scene of sailboats.
