Eric P. Newman research files for the Hard Times Tokens. Eric P. Newman correspondence file on Hard Times Tokens, ranging from 1986 to 2004. In addition, a single letter from 1933 is present, a significant exchange (with the Scovill Manufacturing Company) as it represents Newman's earliest known foray into numismatic research. Correspondents include Richard G. Doty, Robert Lindesmith, Fred L. Reed III, Q. David Bowers, Leslie A. Elam, Willard Mumford, David E. Schenkman, New York Public Library, Enoch Pratt Free Library, Harvey Stack, Joe Levine, and others.
One of the oldest member clubs of the American Numismatic Association (ANA), the Rochester Numismatic Association (RNA) was formed in January 1912 by Dr. George P. French with 32 charter members.
