Armin Brand passed away in 1946, at which point these consignments are made on behalf of his estate by Frieda Grommes Brand and Jane von Boecklin Allen.
Correspondence related to Eric P. Newman and Burdette G. Johnson's purchases from the Col. Green estate made from 1940 to 1945, although earlier correspondence begins in 1937. Correspondence is primarily between Newman and Chase Bank in New York. The file includes later photocopies of Newman's handwritten inventory notes, in addition to several telegrams.
