Research materials related to Newman's article "Counterfeit Continental Currency Goes to War," published in the January and February 1957 issues of The Numismatist. File includes an offprint of the article with annotated corrections, images of a $65 counterfeit note from the British museum collection, a contemporary notice of counterfeit Continental Currency, correspondence dated 1938 from John M. Richardson to Harley Freeman, and memoranda in Newman's hand. Also included in the file, but not scanned here, are published clips from the Numismatic Scrapbook Magazine (September 1966, p. 1901), the Numismatic Dealers Digest (6/21/1947), "The Diggs Letters" from Seaby's Coin and Medal Bulletin (November 1962), and an offprint of Newman's article "The Successful British Counterfeiting of American Paper Money During the American Revolution," from The British Numismatic Journal (1959, vol. 39).
