When the Carnegie Mueums of Pittsburgh deaccessioned the bulk of their coin collection in the late 1970s/early 80s, the collection's research library was transferred to the rare book department of the Carnegie Library. This file contains a 1991 appraisal for the library by local numismatic bibliophile Wayne Homren, with assistance from future numismatic literature dealer John H. Burns.
