User Collection PubblicoEarly Paper Money of America (NNP Edition)|Franklin withdrew from the active printing business in 1848 and formed a partnership with his employee, David Hall. Franklin retained one-half of the profits for 20 years and turned over his printing equipment for future purchase by Hall. £5,000 in legal tender Bills authorized by the Feb. 4, 1749 Act to replace worn bills of prior issues. Printed by Benjamin Franklin and David Hall with a cut of the Penn Arms, border cuts as well as ornamental and regular type. Blank backs. Signers were John Davis, Joseph Hamton, John Jervis, William Trotter, and James Webb.
