Early Paper Money of America (NNP Edition)|

£15,000 in Bills authorized by the Mar. 9, 1771 Act for the defense of Philadelphia, but used for paving streets. Penn Arms are on the face with cast border cuts. Nature prints are on the back. Printed in red and black on the face with the number of Crowns keyed to the denomination. See August 10, 1739 issue for spelling and type style variations. Printed by David Hall and William Sellers on paper containing mica flakes. Signers were Stephen Collins, Isaac Cox, Joel Evans, William Fisher, Francis Hopkinson (signer of the Declaration of Independence), Joshua Howell, Robert Strettell Jones, Thomas Mifflin, Joseph Morris, Luke Morris, Daniel Roberdeau, and Jacob Shoemaker.
