Early Paper Money of America (NNP Edition)|

£4,000 in Bills of Credit issued pursuant to the April 28, 1760 Act. Called for redemption in specie by the Oct. 31, 1761 Act. English Arms are sideways on the three highest denominations. Another new set of small square nature prints are on backs. Engraved cuts on backs were eliminated, Printed by Franklin and Hall in red and black on the face and in black on the back. Signers were David Hall, Vincent Loockerman, and Evan Rice.

Per Ray Williams (12/2020), the Library Company of Philadelphia has three printing blocks from the Franklin & Hall company used to produce Delaware 1759 and 1760 notes. Two of these were used for the 1760 notes, one for the 30 shilling issue, the back leaf print block with three leaves, and for the 40 shilling note, the front top border edge block reading “TWO POUNDS” with a backward “D."
