Early Paper Money of America / New Hampshire / 1717 May 20 successively redated 1724, 1725, 1726, and 1727

Early Paper Money of America (NNP Edition)|As further issues were authorized engraving a new date on each denomination without disturbing the prior dates again redated the two modified May 20, 1717 faceplates. Separate vignettes for each denomination were added in the 1724-27 period to discourage raising denominations by alteration. £2,000 was approved on Dec. 12, 1724; £2,000 on Dec. 31, 1725; £2,000 plus £500 for exchange on Jan. 8, 1726/27; and £2,000 on May 20, 1727. Back plate monograms as in the previous issue. Signers were Theodore Atkinson, Jonathan Frost, Mark Hunking, George Jaffrey, Joshua Peirce, and John Plaisted.
