Hi All!
As most of you know, CT's are not my speciality. A local dealer called me about a CT 1788 Miller 3-B.1 that a customer has and wanted some idea as to its worth. According to the dealer, his customer says it's an MS65 (!!!) and was lot 33 in the NASCA 1977 Mathew Bryan Sale. It has a prominent Nova Constellatio undertype (script US). His customer was under the impression it's value might be around $10,000. I told my dealer friend that (as a NJ collector) I didn't believe there was any Ct Copper worth $10,000 ( I could be mistaken). I don't own this catalog so I can't look at the plates. All I could tell my friend is that it was an R-6 with 19 seen by Mike Hodder in the Perkin's Sale a year and a half ago. Whatever info and opinions you guys send me, I'll print it out and give it to him. This coin may come into his posession for resale or consignment.
