Rob, This is a very complex question, asked in your usual no BS way. Nobody
said that regals aren't worth crap. The fact is there seems to be a growing
    # of collectors for the ctft. issues of George III, especially, and George
II secondarily. As to Evasions, this is another market that is in it's
infancy. Ctfts. are also, but have established a more avid following, so
far. Once certain things are discovered and possibly published about
ctfts., Evasions may experience a wake up call. Regals of the period have a
following, some here in the US, but ctfts. are at this point mostly being
sold to the crazy Americans. At this point it is supply and demand, pure
and simple. There is more demand for the ctfts., and lately there also
seems to be an endless supply? Evasions do not exhibit the demand, yet.

OK, educate me on this. Why is it that if the legends are spelled right on
these things and they are genuine products of the Tower Mint they ain=B9t
worth crap but, if they are counterfeit there are hoards of people will fal=
    l
over each other to pay relatively big bucks for them. However, if they are
counterfeit but the legends are spelled wrong they, like the genuine 1/2d,
ain=B9t worth crap? Admittedly I have no interest in this foreign stuff an=
    d
always do like to promote good spelling, but I can=B9t figure out why Steve=
    =B9s
buy is really any different from those counterfeit 1/2d that are so damned
important that they even have their own group.

    Rob
