DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY CONCRETE INFORMATION ON CIRCULATING COUNTERFEITS
OF THE 1723 WOODS HIBERNIA? A couple years ago, Jeff R offered a
contemporary counterfeit on his price list. Does anyone have any
information and a picture that they can post of the 1723 variety of
such a coin. The reason is, I recieved one today that the seller
possibly designated it as a contemporary counterfeit,.....if this is
true, then this is the "second" example to my knowledge. The example
I just recieved today, appears to be struck on a casted
planchet,.........it does not ring like any others I have, but also,
it does not "thump" like a electro. I flame tested it to make sure
that it was copper, it is,........if it was anyother, even a
cast,.........it would have melted. The coin is not damaged from
this,........the appearence now is like it is cleanned, thats all.
Please let me know
Thank you brother C-4'ers
