Anglo-Gallic Coins Public Deposited
are such as were issued by the English rulers and princes in their French territories. The earliest specimens are the Deniers of Henry II, which must have been struck previous to 1168, in which year Aquitaine was given by Henry to his son, Richard I.
The last of the series of Anglo-Gallic coins are the Tournav Groats of Henry VIII, issued in 1513.
