Bernardin Public Deposited
A name given to the Denier issued at the mint of Anduse during the thirteenth century. These coins are char- acterized by a large letter B on the ob- verse which is supposed to stand for Ber- nard, a local ruler, although this name was borne by the Seigneurs of Anduse from 1024 until 1243. See Blanchet, Nouveau manuel de numismatique . 1890. (i. 19).
