  • Born at Gatewood, West Virginia. Served in the 71st Infantry Division during World War II. Graduate of Marshall University at Huntington, West Virginia. Owner of an insurance agency. Member of the American Legion, Lions Club and the Shrine. He was the voice of the Fayetteville Pirates.

    Organizer and past president of the National Scrip Collector's Association. Editor of Scrip Talk after 1965. Author of Coal Company Scrip in 1969.

    He conducted four auctions in 1977-78. He died at Oak Hill, West Virginia.
