  • Employed with Coins and Currency Institute. He worked at Gimbel’s in Philadelphia.

    He contributed “New and Recent Issues” to The Numismatist from 1933 to 1980. Received ANA Medal of Merit in 1954.

    The Numismatist gave his name as both Ernst and Ernest, sometimes on the same page.
