    Born in Ripon, Wisconsin. Graduated from University of Wisconsin at OshKosh. Married to Maureen Fogarty with two daughters. President and CEO of Building Trades Federal Credit Union, retired in 2020. 
    Past president of the Northwest Coin Club and the Twin Cities Ancient Coin Club.
    Author of Ancient Greek Numismatics: A Guide to Reading and Research (2001). Author of Annotated Bibliography of Ancient Greek Numismatics (2013).

    Education and Career:
    ❖ Obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin—Oshkosh, 1982, with a major in Accounting and minor in Economics.
    ❖ Obtained Certified Public Accountant designation.
    ❖ Spent his career in a variety of accounting, finance, and management roles in the financial services industry including 18 years in banking and 17 years in credit unions. Retired in 2020 after serving six years as President/CEO of a credit union.

    Numismatic Activities:
    ❖ Coin collector since the age of 8, with interests spanning many aspects of numismatics. Exclusively collecting ancient Greek coins and related literature since 1986.
    ❖ Served in local coin collector clubs in a variety of roles including president (three different clubs), treasurer, newsletter writer, and coin show chairman.
    ❖ Frequent educational speaker at club meetings.
    ❖ Award-winning exhibitor at local and regional coins shows, 1986-1989. ANA-certified exhibit judge.

    Numismatic Writing:
    ❖ Author of The Coinage of Ancient Thasos: A Guide for Collectors (publication pending), a comprehensive guide to the history and coinage of this city, with a catalogue of 82 distinct coin types and over 330 varieties. Destined to be the standard reference for this coinage.
    ❖ Author of Annotated Bibliography of Ancient Greek Numismatics (Lancaster and London: Classical Numismatic Group, Inc., 2012. 652 pp.), the most comprehensive bibliography ever written for the field of ancient Greek numismatics. Incorporates over 7000 listings of books and articles in all languages.
    ❖ Author of Ancient Greek Numismatics: A Guide to Reading and Research (Cold Spring: Davissons Ltd., 2001. 401 pp.), a comprehensive bibliography listing over 4000 books and articles published in English related to ancient Greek coinage.
    ❖ Author of six articles on various aspects of ancient Greek coinage, published in The Celator, 1991-2012.
    ❖ Author of articles appearing in Coins magazine (1978), The Numismatist (1986), Penny-Wise (1989), and four articles in The Asylum (2001-2020).

    Memberships:
    ❖ American Numismatic Association (joined in 1977), American Numismatic Society, Central States Numismatic Society, Ancient Coin Collectors Guild, Numismatic Literary Guild, Numismatic Bibliomania Society, Twin Cities Ancient Coin Club, and Northwest Coin Club (Minneapolis).
