Bio

• Born as Betty Clay Coover in Kansas City, Missouri. Married to Ray Lefman on March 6, 1941. Graduated from University of Central Missouri in 1942 and masters degree in 1961.

  She was appointed to the U.S. Assay Commission in 1965. She was named a Numismatic News Numismatic Ambassador in 1985. She received an ANA President’s award in 1995.

  She died at Garden Valley Manor.
