General Notes: At just over 10 million, the 1861 boasts the smallest mintage among the Copper-Nickel Indian Cents making it the most rare in circulated grades. Gems are scarce and the finest ones are extremely rare. The 1861 normally comes with a strong strike and most notably the date displays fantastic luster.
