American 19th Century Dealer Periodicals

The Newman Portal has added The Elder Monthly (1906-1908) to the periodical section.  The house organ of the New York City dealer Thomas Elder, the Monthly delivered a readable mix of numismatic news, original articles, and advertisements of coins for sale.In addition, Mason's Coin & Stamp Collectors' Magazine has been added for the period 1867 - 1891. This parallels the American Journal of Numismatics for the same period but provides a decidedly more colorful view of the hobby.  Mason's title and volume numbering varies, and is detailed on the landing page for the periodical.
