Early Paper Money of America (NNP Edition)|
£15,000 as the Second War Issue of Bills of Credit was authorized on Aug. 20, 1755 to be legal tender until Sept. 8, 1760 and invalid after Mar. 8, 1761. The weight equivalent in silver is the same as provided for prior issues. See July 2, 1746 issue for denominational symbols. The faces of the 30s and over are printed in red and black and the balance in black, with sage leaf backs. Printed by James Parker at Woodbridge. Signers were Jacob Dehart, Joseph Hollinshead, A. Johnston, Samuel Nevill, Henry Paxson, and Daniel Smith, Jr.
