Early Paper Money of America (NNP Edition)|

£20,000 (£10,000 plus £10,000 to exchange for worn bills) in Bills of Credit authorized at session begun Nov. 15, 1763. Legal tender until Dec. 31, 1781 & invalid after Dec. 31, 1782. The weight equivalent in silver is the same as for prior issues. See July 2, 1746 issue for denominational symbols. The face of £6 is in red & blue. The faces of the 30s & £3 are in red & black. The faces of others are in black. Backs are in black. Mica-flaked paper begins on New Jersey bills. Printed by James Parker. Signers were Jonathan Johnston, S. Skinner, Joseph Smith, Richard Smith, & Samuel Smith.
