Early Paper Money of America (NNP Edition)|The Bank of Bristol was incorporated in Rhode Island at the June 1800 Session to operate at Bristol. Its capital was $80,000 divided into 800 shares of $100 each with the right to increase to $300,000. Its bank notes were protected by a counterfeiting provision in the charter.
