Early Paper Money of America (NNP Edition)|Bills payable in New Jersey Money of Account at 8s per ounce, Furnace built in 1765 near Rockaway, Morris County by Samuel Ford who became a notorious paper money counterfeiter. Arms contain harp and FURNACE, ornaments and type similar to those previously used by James Harper for official Colony issues. Notes had blank backs. Other denominations are probable.
