Early Paper Money of America (NNP Edition)|£5,000 in Bills ratified by the July 26, 1740 Act to support an expedition against the Spanish West Indies. This was one of many expenditures authorized by the Assembly from time to time to be paid out by the Loan Office and to be recovered with tax levies. Unused bill forms from the 1733 issue were dated and issued. Signers were John Bullen, Charles Hamond, Richard Gordon, and George Steuart.
