To all members,
There has been some mis-understanding about what is transpiring on the
Colonial e-group scene lately. I would like to give my interpretation
of recent happenings, and then ask Dennis or other board members to
correct me if I am mistaken about something.
The C4 board recently voted to create a new C4-only e-group. This new
e-group will be the "official" forum for C4 discussions, online
meetings, club information, etc. If you think about it, there really is
a need for an official C4 online forum. There are C4-specific issues
that would not be appropriate to discuss in an open, public forum. I
would like to encourage all C4 members to join the new e-group. Please
note that you can join as many e-groups as you like, and you should
definitely take the time to look around at egroups.com, as there are
many interesting forums out there.
With that said, the current Colonial Coins e-group is now free and clear
of any "quasi-official" attachment to the C4 club. This implies that
our current e-group can continue onwards as an open, public forum for
the "discussion and enjoyment of Colonial Coins, Tokens, Medals, and
Paper Money".
For new members: I would like to remind new members that it would
benefit them to take the time to read through the previous postings to
the e-group. This can be done by visiting the Colonial Coins e-group
home page at http://www.egroups.com/group/colonial-coins .
