Hi everyone,
I am finalizing things for my exhibit at the ANA Convention this year,
entitled "Vermont's Copper Coinage of the Confederation Period". It will be
entered into both the Adult competitive class as well as the Young
Numismatist class. The scope of exhibit focuses primarily on Vermont copper
types, although it is relevant to include regal British and Irish halfpence
to show that they, too, were part of the circulating medium at the time, and
were also used as undertypes for various pieces. Anyway, I realized that I
didn't have the George III English halfpence that I needed. Now, I don't know
anything about this type of coinage aside from the historic link to Vermont's
medley of small change, but I am looking for a couple of pieces with
attractive surfaces and color with Fine or better detail. Once again, this is
for purposes of putting together an educational display for people to enjoy
and to illustrate a coinage's history, so I don't need any key dates or
anything - just a couple of decent examples to illustrate a point. If anyone
has pieces available for me, please contact me. Thank you very much for your
attention.
