Since not much else seems to be happening, and some of the copies of
the article are arriving to those who requested it, judging by my
emails, I thought I would give you all a breif update on my brother,
    Grant.
Last night he was practicing his signature. He did very well. Grant
gets many visitors on a daily basis and is kept occupied despite
having to be careful about getting a bruise or cut, being on a blood
thinner. He still visits the barn, but is watched closely by family
and friends. We are still getting a lot of help from neighbors and
    friends with barn chores, etc.
His appetite remains the same, seconds and desert! Some things never
change. Once this clot in his lungs is gone I would expect him to
become more active. I don't think that will ever change either!
His son, Tim, is very appreciative of what you all are doing with the
raffle. Some of the hospital expenses are coming in now - I guess
they held off with them as long as they could. Tim, pays what he can
on the bills from the fund. Donations also still arrive at the PO Box
in Milesburg from local residents who have heard of his financial
needs with medical expenses. As soon as the raffle is over I will
happily and proudly announce the results of your efforts to Grant.
No long term descisions have yet been made concerning the cattle,
although I think that Grant realizes his limitations - I/we hope!
We certainly do not want to discourage him in any way and have been
letting him decide things, trying not to influence his decisions.
That's all we can do, I guess, but we will all do whatever it takes
to see that his recovery is full and complete.
I guess that wasn't so breif, afterall, was it!
    Byron
