Impossible. The planchet cutter is what JCS described as a cookie
cutter that punched out round blanks. For it to have had a crimp
1) it would have to have been shaped like a crescent moon, 2)
judging by the number of coins with multiple clips it would also
have to have had multiple crimps, and 3) all planchets cut using
it would be clipped to essentially identical degrees.
