    Depends. On my Mother's side he may have been a hessian, and on my
    Father's side he likely fought on the side of the British during the
    revolution. I guess the redeeming quality would be that his Father
    must have fought on the side of the British during the French and
    Indian Wars. I don't think the records that far back exist though.
