Hey Morris,
If you don't mind me answering part of this, your coin exhibits a planchet
crack as opposed to a die crack. When we say die crack we mean the die
itself cracks and leaves a raised meandering crack on the coin when struck.
On your specimen the coin is actually cracked.

Don't know if this is of interest, but the reverse on
this had three die cracks. One runs completely from
top to bottom of coin.
Another runs from I down into pale of shield.
Third runs along left side of bottom of shield.
