Hello! Several collectors of French Colonies coinages used in colonial North
America have expressed an interest to get together and play a little "Show
and Tell" with their collections during next month's C4 convention in Boston.
While a specific date and time hasn't officially been set, it will probably
be an evening after the bourse floor closes -- we'll figure something out
when we get there that does not compete with the auction or educational
    forums.

So, if you are interested in the French Colonies pieces -- which includes the
1640 counterstamped billon douzain "Black Doggs," the Recoined Sols of the
    1690's, the 1709-1713 15 and 30 Deniers pieces, the 1721-2 Copper 9 Deniers
pieces, the silver and gold coinages recovered from the wreck of the Chameau
Treasure ship, the Sous Marques and Half Sous Marques, the 1767-A Copper
coinage or pretty much anything listed by Breen or Hodder as rightfully part
of the French Colonies pieces, please join us! Bring your entire collection,
or just a few pieces of interest, and bring your questions, comments and
debates -- you may be able to find some answers!

So far we have three large collectors confirmed, each with several hundred
pieces to share, and a few other smaller collections ranging from 20 to 100
or so pieces. Hopefully that number will grow! If you have any questions,
feel free to e-mail me privately or address it in this cyber group.

    Thanks again for your time!

    Jeff Rock
