Ray, I will be MIGHTY surprised if you actually get the Vermont piece back --
even if you are able to prove that it is the same coin in both images, I
suspect that the "new owner" will choose to return it to the "old owner" and
that the old owner will decide that it is more fair to just relist the piece
-- after all, you aren't out any money for it. Blah, blah, blah -- and don't
be surprised to see a shill bid it up for far more than you originally won it
    for!

The sad part is that there are a large number of people who buy and sell on
ebay that do play by the rules, and these are the ones that end up getting
tarred by the same brush as the bad guys. In my auctions I started off
listing things with no reserves and things sold at decent levels for decent
material. And then a couple of bidders apparently colluded with each other
to not bid each other up on material, and in two weekly offerings about 75%
of the items sold for a loss. After THAT wake-up call (dishonesty can be on
both sides of the transaction), now most of my items are listed with a
reserve price which is generally at or below my cost...if they sell, fine,
e-bay makes a little more money off of the reserve listing, but if they don't
    sell oh well.

Ray, definitely keep us posted on what happens -- either in the group or by
private e-mail if there are things you want to say that may not be suitable
    for a group-wide post!
