To any & all that would like to answer, or the one person that has
the right answer:
What are the e-bay protocols when someone doesn't complete "checkout"
hasn't rec'd an e-mail from the seller and has no clue what address
to remit a check to pay for said auction?
Would it not be the proper thing to contact the buyer to see why
payment has not been made?
Should e-bay's "safeharbor" be the first place you turn?
For some reason, I bought a lot, didn't use checkout, and rec'd no e-
mail from the seller until today from "safeharbor". This is no big
deal, as they suggest we work it out, but it bothers me, that I like
to pay my bills, and I get "turned in" to safeharbor.
Then I go ahead and complete "checkout" this afternonn, and the guy
has no address listed with them for me to even send him a check!!!
And, it's not at the auction site either! Can anyone help me make
sense of this? There are other times when I forgot to send a check
out, but then I got contacted by the seller with a short e-mail
saying something like "Did you forget?" I then made all haste to get
it out with an apology. This really bothers me. David - 2002-04-17
