    David
I haven't checked but that "checkout" has confused things. Used to be b=
oth the buyer and seller were responsible to make contact within 3 business=
days. As "tokeng" I always send emails outlining all but also leave instru=
ctions for people in a hurry with the checkout so they can go that route. I=
f they email me through the checkout asking for instructions I just email t=
hem as I would regularly. I don't know the rules about checkout.=20

If you ask safeharbour you may converse with an intelligent person or a=
n automaton. If you get the latter just write back a day or 2 later. Maybe =
checkout overides the seller's responsibilty (if no address is left????) to=
email the high bidder. If you find out any non contradictory rules on this=
please share them. I'm certain most of us will be very interested.

One thing is for certain though that overides any logical set of rules.=
NO MATTER WHAT THE RULES AND WHO BREAKS THEM YOU CAN ALWAYS GET A NEGATIVE=
FROM A JERK. So "caveat emptor" remains the #1 rule.=20
    Best of luck
    Gord

To any & all that would like to answer, or the one person that has=20
    the right answer:
What are the e-bay protocols when someone doesn't complete "checkout"=20
hasn't rec'd an e-mail from the seller and has no clue what address=20
to remit a check to pay for said auction?=20
Would it not be the proper thing to contact the buyer to see why=20
    payment has not been made?=20
Should e-bay's "safeharbor" be the first place you turn?=20
For some reason, I bought a lot, didn't use checkout, and rec'd no e-
mail from the seller until today from "safeharbor". This is no big=20
deal, as they suggest we work it out, but it bothers me, that I like=20
to pay my bills, and I get "turned in" to safeharbor.
Then I go ahead and complete "checkout" this afternonn, and the guy=20
has no address listed with them for me to even send him a check!!!=20
And, it's not at the auction site either! Can anyone help me make=20
sense of this? There are other times when I forgot to send a check=20
out, but then I got contacted by the seller with a short e-mail=20
saying something like "Did you forget?" I then made all haste to get=20
it out with an apology. This really bothers me. David=20
