I bought the new CARE, called COIN CARE, while in California.....It is a
waste of money. I would not recommend it to anyone.......I have a couple
of old bottles of Blue Ribbon, and they say it is manufactured with
CFC-113........CFC's, Chlorofluorocarbons, as a group, are nontoxic,
nonflammable, noncorrosive, nonreactive with other chemical species, and
not carcinogenic. However, they are/were one of the main causes for
depletion of the ozone layer. CFC's have many uses including such as:
refrigerants, and as cleaning agents (several other uses but none that
pertain to this topic). The principal use for CFC-113 was as a solvent.

Funny, I actually have 3 bottles of the old Blue Ribbon, one of them
being the large 8 ounce bottle. That bottle is my oldest and it does not
mention anything about CFC-113 or the ozone destruction.....the others,
which I bought when I heard the original batch was being discontinued
    make that mention.

    I'm curious.......I'll start a different thread........

    Peace,

    Bijan
