I guess I'll suspend judgement until I see the ex CG coin. The
weight is too old to fit your theory and the CG catalogue photo
looks more like a Not One Cent for Tribute type Liberty Head than a
large cent Matron Head to me.
I'm still concerned about the original planchet stock. How do you
explain its survival?
