This token based on its date was as good as any to indicate as one of
the first. Again, this article will be edited & expanded based on
dsicussions inside and outside the Mott Token forum at the ANA.

It is a difficult token to capture and digest in one view or sitting.
I remember my initial thoughts when this coin fell into my hands for
    the first time:
    1. Its real
    2. What the hell happened here!
    3. This is not an overstriking error!
    4. Hmmm a hub trial.
    5. Yeh its a coronet.
    6. In what order Bill?
    7. Yes its seems correct based on the undertyping.
    8. Lets be careful with the word undertype in the article.
    9. Here I go again - another project.
    10. We need to have this token viewed - even with this article who
    will take our word!
    11. A coin that will change an entire page in the Red Book. Wow!
    12. Better reserve my spot at the ANA Forum.
    13. Yes I will send a ahrd copy to Jim at Heritage.
    14. Now that its apart from the date on the token what'd the circa
    period for the 19th century?
    15. Hope these three copper gurus can do a Newcomb attribution.
    16. A fitting location - New York - for NY's #1 Token! There is a GOD!
